Website privacy policy

We count visits, not you

This page covers the website, ceo.mihalovics.com. It counts visits with Google Analytics – with cookies only if you say yes – and nothing on it is used for ads. The game itself has its own privacy policy.

At a glance

  • Cookies only with your OK

Analytics sets cookies only after you press Accept in the cookie bar. Until then, it gets anonymous counts.

  • No ads, nothing sold

No advertising features and no ad cookies, and we never sell or share what Analytics tells us.

  • Policies aren’t measured

Neither privacy policy loads Analytics – read them in peace.

  • Change your mind

“Cookie settings” at the bottom of the home page brings the choice back at any time.

Who we are

This policy covers ceo.mihalovics.com, the website of CEO: Chief Extermination Officer, made by Mihalovics Labs – which is who “we” means here. The game – the Meta Quest game and the Android pest app – has its own privacy policy. Privacy questions go to hello@mihalovics.com.

Visitor statistics (Google Analytics)

On the home page we use Google Analytics – through the game’s Firebase project – to learn how many people visit, from which countries, on which devices and in which language, and which links brought them here. It never runs on the privacy policies or the error page.

  • What it collects. The page you visit and the one you came from, the time, your browser, device type, screen size and language, and a rough location (country and city) worked out from your IP address – plus standard events such as scrolling to the end of the page or following a link to another site. Google Analytics doesn’t log or store IP addresses.
  • If you decline, or haven’t chosen yet. Analytics sets no cookies and sends only anonymous pings, with no ID that could recognise you on your next visit. Google may use them to estimate the totals.
  • If you accept. Analytics sets two cookies (_ga and one starting with _ga_) holding a random ID, so it can tell a returning visitor from a new one.
  • Who handles it. Google Ireland Ltd processes the data for us under Google’s data processing terms; it may reach Google in the United States, which is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. We rely on your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)).
  • How long. Visit details are deleted after 2 months; only totals, such as visits per day, are kept longer.
  • What we don’t do. No advertising features, no Google signals, no ad personalisation – and we never sell or share the statistics.

Cookies

  • Session (needed). The site needs it to run the page; it’s deleted when you close your browser.
  • Language (needed). Only if you use the EN/HU switch: remembers your language for a year.
  • Your cookie choice (needed). Remembers for a year whether you accepted or declined Analytics, so we don’t ask on every visit.
  • Analytics (only if you accept). _ga and _ga_…, set by Google Analytics and kept for up to 2 years. Declining in “Cookie settings” deletes them.

Everything else

  • The trailer. The trailer is a YouTube video. The page loads nothing from YouTube until you press play; then the video plays in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), and Google handles it under its own privacy policy.
  • Server logs. Like any web server, ours records basic request details – IP address, time, page and browser – to keep the site running and secure. We don’t combine them with anything else or share them, and we delete them once they’re no longer needed.
  • Email. If you write to us, we use your address and message only to reply.
  • Links out. Links to the app stores, our studio site and social networks take you to services with their own privacy policies.

The game and its player reports

The game – the Meta Quest game and the Android pest app – collects no statistics and has its own privacy policy. The player reports the headset sends reach us through this website’s server; that policy explains what they hold and how long we keep them.

Your rights

Under data protection laws such as the EU’s GDPR, you can ask what personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to how it’s used. From the website, that could be Analytics data, our server logs or an email you sent us – write to hello@mihalovics.com and we’ll help. You can also complain to your local data protection authority (in Hungary, the NAIH).

You can withdraw your consent to Analytics at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the home page, which also deletes its cookies. Withdrawing doesn’t affect what was collected before. Your browser can block or delete cookies too.

Changes to this policy

If the website starts handling data differently – a new tool or a new cookie – we’ll update this page first and change the date at the top.
